First we have John Swallow, Lt. Governor Bell that are both under federal investigation. Swallow who is in deeper doo doo then Bell and Swallow has many investigations pending. Also West Valley City Police had their own issues lately but now we turn our heads to the newest scandal:
The Tooele County Sheriff’s office now under investigation as well…
Utah…. What the hell is going on??? All the sudden the people that are supposed to be protecting the public are flat out criminalizing us. Taking advantage whatever you want to call it this is absurd… Utahans better check their ethic values real quick.

If you follow or even slightly enjoy college basketball or basketball in general than it’s a must you fill out a bracket “bracketology” . ESPN has folks sign up every year for this. This year it was sponsored by All State Insurance.
It is estimated that tens of millions of people fill out March Madness tourney brackets every year; 8.15 million brackets were entered in ESPN’s Tourney Challenge alone.
Over 60,000 brackets were filled out by Facebook users in Yahoo!’s Tourney Pick’em game and Yahoo! was kind enough to share their data with us. We observe most users’ age, educational background, team and athletic page likes, location, and estimate the effect these have on how people fill out their brackets.
I signed up for one on espn. I did well but I didn’t win. I guess getting a rank of 435,107 with a PCT of 94.7 isn’t too bad out of 8.15 million. Although I didn’t win squat other than some bragging rights to the group I was in which only goes so far.
Oh well that’s the beauty of March Madness…. There is always next year to win the big one. It’s the closest thing we have to the lottery in Utah so I can always hope ha.
There are so many ways to guess, pick or choose who can run all the way to the end of the Road to the final 4. There isn’t a right or wrong way to picking and that’s all the fun in the madness… “Never really knowing” who could be this years Cinderella Like Wichita St. VCU years earlier among many other great solid teams. That’s probably one of the factors that really just entice and keep people so excited about March Madness.
The tourney really stress’s strategy for coaches, along with stamina for players. It’s one of my personal favorite times of year. Except football isn’t on ;/ But hey can’t win them all.
I picked Louisville and am glad they won, not because Kevin Ware broke his leg, but because Rick Pitino is a Great coach and made it to the Hall of Fame recently! He will also have a new tattoo soon. Good for the Cardinal Basketball program and team. They were fundamentally sound and played well as a team.
It’s a very big thing for the Cardinals to bring the title back to Kentucky a year after their in state dreaded Rival the “Kentucky Wildcats” did it previously. Shows how strong the East side of the country is in basketball.
Shout out to the Wolverines and Big 10 for putting on a hell of a run as well. They have a bright future with a solid 4-5 freshman on the come up

Mark Shurtleff has been in the Attorney General’s office for so long that you really have to dig back to remember everything that has happened through his tenor. The Salt Lake Tribune once again spells out how deep you have to go back and really just how close the Former and now Current AG’s office, Division of Consumer Protections Office, and Governor really are to business’s, MLM’s, and other side deals.
I find it amusing how quick Francine Giani and The Utah Dept of Consumer Protections is to point the finger and as they really try to blame and separate themselves from the AG’s office when really they operate with all the same attorney’s, they communicate frequently, share information among each other and other behind the curtain things the public has no idea about.
They know each other’s cases very well. A good way to draw it up Is almost like that evil 3 headed serpent that you have to attack. However they muddy the waters as much as they can so there won’t ever be any clarity from The Governor’s office, The Division of Consumer Protections or The Attorney General’s office.
They all abuse their powers, play the semantics, and blame the business’s. They need direct guidelines and rule. Not these vague laws that walk small business owners down a nasty path. The reason they are vague is so that these elected officials can walk both sides of the fence and it’s really disturbing.
I find it funny the Division of Consumer Protection is fining another business over a licensing issue instead of giving them a realistic fine “without the Shock factor” that is pro business, maybe like get them in compliance with the state first.
Who didn’t Green Tea pay off? Apparently Mark Shurtleff and John Swallow got paid for it? Is this why Francine Giani The Division of Consumer Protections always go behind the Attorney General’s back and fine the people they get money from? Jealously?…
There is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes that people aren’t aware of. When is Utah going to elect some re presentable and ethical politicians in Utah? Yeah that’s right… Even Francine Giani Plays the fierce game of politics and special interests in Utah right with the good ol boys.
I guess I won’t beat the drum much more on this post about Utah’s Corruption here in the State. I just find it sad no one has carried John Swallow along with his friends out of office as this mess continues to unwind. “including the Governor and Francine“
You have to be naive not to see there is a fine level of corruption in Utah. From the governor’s office, to the Division of Consumer Protection on over to the Attorney General’s Office.

With Recent stories of John Swallow and Jeremy Johnson’s bribery scheme going on. I thought it would be fitting to tie in another conversation John Swallow had with Aaron Christner and Ryan Scott Jensen a few month previously to all of this while he was running for AG’s off and campaigning for the Attorney General of Utah position.
This is a pattern of unethical performance and terrible poor judgement on Mr. Swallow’s part. Many local newspapers called for his resignation along with many other bloggers and media outlets eating up this story about John Swallow and the Feds.
Orrin Hatch has been the latest Utah politician to be put on blast by the media. Hatch slipped in legistlation that helps or coddles to a drug company that has donated heavily to him over the years! I believe This ties into a whole tangled mess of politics in the State of Utah right now.
John swallow is one of the drones for Hatch, this whole ethical battle in Utah goes from Orrin Hatch to Gary Herbert on Down to Swallow with many other key players tied into the “good ol boy club”. This is depressing and sad Utahans that you allow yourselves to get pushed around, and snowed like this by your very own elected officials!~
If Utah doesn’t stand up for it’s self after this mess of ethic battles, bribes, sneaky legislation being passed, hidden agendas and god knows what else they do behind the scenes. Then Utah will have a very hard time removing this black cloud.
This is a recording that Hit the Salt Lake Tribune January the 29th of 2013 the recording is from April 30th, 2012. This is the type of things that go on locally and a National level inside of politics. WE as Americans have obligations to ourselves and this type of behavior is self inflicted. WE allow this to happen and it needs to change.
I believe this is a black eye that the Utah’s Attorney General John Swallow will never be able to shake. Also we really need to think do we want our top law enforcement officer buying a “burner phone” from Walmart? That’s what typical drug dealer, or criminal would do. They would do things to cover their tracks. I am sure This recording and flutter of stories from the SL Trib over the few weeks should only raise more questions for ALL politicians at ever level State and Federal.
